lakshya, kill, karan johar

Karan Johar surprised audiences with Kill, an adult film that garnered international acclaim for its unapologetic and gory action sequences. The film’s lead, Lakshya Lalwani, earned widespread praise, as did Johar for venturing into such bold territory as a producer.

While fans eagerly anticipate news about Kill 2, sources have revealed that Karan Johar and Lakshya Lalwani are teaming up once again for a new film. This project is set to be another high-octane thriller.

Lakshya and Karan Johar to reunite for the third time

According to Pinkvilla, “Lakshya will spearhead a new-age action film to be produced by Karan Johar. The film will go on floors in Summer 2025, once the shooting for Chand Mera Dil is wrapped up. Much like Kill, this one too will be a high-octane action thriller, and the stakeholders are excited to roll with it.”

The source further added, “The director’s name has been kept under wraps, but the teams at Dharma are silently working on this action-packed thriller. The casting for other parts will happen shortly, but it’s a story that everyone strongly believes in, as the action in the film is backed by strong emotion and drama.”

Following his debut with Dharma Productions, Lakshya Lalwani is also preparing for Chand Mera Dil, where he will star opposite Ananya Panday. The coming-of-age romantic comedy, backed by Karan Johar, is slated for release in 2025. Despite not being a massive box-office hit, Kill gained critical acclaim and achieved profitability. The film was showcased at several international film festivals, receiving accolades prior to its Indian release.

The success of Kill has spurred interest in remakes. Raghava Lawrence has acquired the rights for Tamil and Telugu adaptations, while the makers of John Wick are planning a Hollywood remake of the film.

With Kill carving a niche in the action genre and this upcoming project promising a similar adrenaline rush, Karan Johar and Lakshya Lalwani are cementing their collaboration in bold and innovative cinema.
